The School was established in 1980 by virtue of a Municipal Resolution approved by the able then Mayor Querobin M. Dycoco. Through the assistance of Mrs. Alicia Reodique, the principal of Libon East Central Elem. School, Libon Agro-Industrial High School was formally opened with 130 first years and 3 permanent teachers. Mr. Sofio E. Regaya Jr., the pioneer head of the school named it Libon Municipal Agro-Industrial High School. The school found a site of 9,800 sq. meters donated by the municipal government. The school’s staff was paid out by the tuition fees collected from the students. The LGU subsidized the salaries of teachers to augment the meager collection from the PTA. It was due to the approval of DepEd having it nationalized when the school was named Libon Agro-Industrial High School in 1983, by virtue of Municipal resolution No. 5-81-83 a 300 sq. m through the Tax Declaration No. 419 and Tax Declaration No. 954 a 300 sq. meter parcel of land was donated to the school.
In accordance to the Republic Act No 6655 known as "An Act Establishing and Providing for Free Public Secondary Education and other Purposes". Libon Agro-Industrial High School was recognized as a nationalized secondary school offering general secondary curriculum. It was in 1988-1989 that the full implementation of the free Secondary Education Program took effect.
In June 2006, the administration enlisted 100 first year students for the redesigned Technical Vocational Ed. Program (RTVEP) in consonance with the DepEd Order No. 37, s. 2005 Implementation of the Redesigned Technical Education Program (RTVEP). In June 2007 the RTVP is in its second year of implementation with 171 students, the rest of the The 974 students were in the General Secondary Basic Education Curriculum (BEC), but with the issuance of DepEd Order n. 48, s. 2007 "Decentralizing Management of the Strengthened Technical Vocational Ed. Prom (STEVP), the school has implemented the Strengthened Technical Vocational Ed. Prom (STEVP), curriculum To all its students from SY 2007-2010. With the issuance of the DepEd Order No. 89, s. 2010 re "Manual of Operation for the Technical Vocational Public secondary schools effective SY 2010-2011", the school continues to implement the STVEP in the accordance with the operation Manual.
The area of specialization offered by the school in their priority concerns were Animal Production, Horticulture, Food Processing, being an agricultural school, in addition, Computer Hardware Servicing and Building Wiring Installation (EIM) but with due consideration to the demands of the community it has offered boys and girls trades such as Garment, Beauty Care and Drafting Technology the following year.
The school is headed by a Principal II and of a strong teaching force composed of 49 Junior High School teachers and 6 Senior High School teachers, 7 non-teaching personnel composed of an Administrative Aide III, 1 Disbursing Officer, 1 Senior Bookkeeper and a Guidance Counselor and 1,781 students who are distributed in 40 sections and housed in 22 academic classrooms. The Senior High School students are housed at Libon Community College (LICOM) occupying 10 classrooms by virtue of a Memorandum of Agreement. The classrooms have its respective toilets initiated through the Homeroom PTA Organizations, other than the toilets installed in almost all of the teacher's centers and offices in the school personnel. The school has two e-Libraries, and other four more laboratories such as, Garments, Food Processing, EIM, and Computer Laboratory. Nutritious foods is available in the Canteens of the school totaling to three, 1 school canteen, 1 YECS, manned by TVE Teachers and 1 run by the teachers' cooperative. Fresh vegetables and poultries can be bought in our school. These are the products of the Horticulture and Animal production students. At the center of the school site is the school's stage, quadrangle and Covered court which was constructed through the congressional funds of 3rd District Representative Fernando V. Gonzales. Adjacent to the Office of the Principal is the Records and Accounting Office.
